| State dept. of education - school reports, statistics, demographics.... | |
| Acalanes Union High School District - This is a very high achieving high school district that has tremendous parental involvement and participation. The high schools cover Orinda, Moraga, Lafayette and part of Walnut Creek. The four high schools are Campolindo, Miramonte, Acalanes and Las Lomas (which is in downtown Walnut Creek). In addition there are two alternative high school programs. | |
| Dublin Schools - Dublin, Ca. has grown tremendously and they have their own school system. They are adding new schools in the Dublin Ranch area. Currently there is only one high school in Dublin, but another one is in the works | |
| Livermore Valley Joint Unified District - This district is quite large with many newer homes built north of 580 and other developments south of Concannon near 84. The population of Livermore is quite diverse, with many PHds. who work at the Lawrence Livermore Labs and Sandia, and other executives, but also quite a few blue collar and Hispanic workers. | |
| Mt. Diablo Unified School District - This school district encompasses parts of Walnut Creek, Concord and Clayton, etc. It has award winning Northgate in Walnut Creek as one of its high schools | |
| Pleasanton School District - This school district covers all of Pleasanton. There are two high schools Foothill on the west side of town and Amador in the center of town. The students do very well in this system and people want to buy homes here because of the good schools and stable community | |
| San Ramon Valley Unified School District - San Ramon Valley Unified School District is quite large. In the north there is a small part of Walnut Creek that is part of it. Then it encompasses Alamo, Danville, San Ramon and Blackhawk. There is a great deal of parental support and high achievement of the students. | |
| Walnut Creek Elementary and Middle Schools - Most of the children below 9th grade go to the elementary and middle schools that are run by this district. There is a small area near Concord that goes to the Mt. Diablo elementary/middle schools. There is also a very small area of Walnut Creek where all the children go to the San Ramon Valley Unified District schools. | |
