The luxury market is still going strong. This past week in our little area, a foreclosed home came on the market for $1,795,000 and sold in 2 days. It will close escrow next week. The seller had turned down an offer for $1,850,000 less than 6 months ago!!!!! Another home in Lafayette came on the market for $2,999,000 and sold in 5 days. Some of my clients know that my youngest sister is a world renown illustrator. Today I was looking at the pendings and this is interesting. A couple of weeks ago there were no pendings in Pleasanton, Alamo and a couple of other places. It was DEAD! Well, this evening I checked on the pendings since Thursday, February 21st:
